MotherToBe Fertility Centre, in association with KIMS Fertility Centre, has successfully hosted GYNAECOLOGY & EARLY PREGNANCY SCAN HANDS-ON Simulator-based 2D Ultrasound Training Course, which took place on November 30th and December 1st, 2024, at the KIMS Fertility Centre Seminar Hall in Secunderabad.
The event was an overwhelming success, attracting a group of 20 dedicated healthcare professionals eager to enhance their expertise in early pregnancy and gynecological ultrasound diagnostics. Over the course of two intensive days, participants were guided through a detailed, hands-on training program designed to strengthen their diagnostic capabilities in ultrasound imaging. Led by DR. S. Vyjayanthi and Scientific lead Dr. Supriya Seshadri.

Vyjayanthi, a distinguished fertility specialist with over 20 years of experience in reproductive medicine, Led this exclusive training event focused on providing a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Dr. Supriya Seshadri, Senior consultant in Fetal and Gynae US, Bangalore, proficient at performing advanced obstetric scans including 3D, 4D and prenatal counselling. Dr. Supriya, Scientific lead ,her presentation on Early pregnancy ultrasound (dating & abnormalities),Diagnosing ectopic pregnancies & miscarriages,Advanced gynecological imaging (polycystic ovaries, benign lesions) was engaging and informative providing valuable insights and knowledge to all the participants.

– State-of-the-art O.P.U.S. Simulator Training: Participants were trained on the O.P.U.S. simulator, which offers an advanced, life-like ultrasound scanning experience. This technology provided attendees with 14 hours of hands-on practice in both transvaginal (TVS) and transabdominal (TAS) ultrasound techniques, allowing them to develop confidence and precision in performing scans.
– Comprehensive Curriculum: The course covered an extensive range of topics, including early pregnancy ultrasound, the diagnosis of abnormal pregnancies such as ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages, and advanced gynecological ultrasound techniques. Special focus was placed on ultrasound applications for evaluating ovarian and adnexal pathologies, including polycystic ovaries, benign ovarian lesions, and ovarian masses. Attendees also gained proficiency in using IOTA software for diagnosing ovarian masses.
– Expert-Led Interactive Learning: The program featured expert-led lectures, live demonstrations, and practical, hands-on training.
