Dr. Vyjayanthi, Director of Mother To Be Fertility Centre & Academy and HOD & Senior Consultant Fertility Specialist at KIMS, was invited as a faculty member at the Fertility Preservation Workshop – East India Conclave ISAR 2025, hosted at the Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata.

She had the opportunity to moderate a panel discussion on “Strategies in Fertility Preservation,” engaging with leading experts in oncology and reproductive medicine. Dr. Basumita Chakraborty, Consultant Gynec Oncologist, graciously provided a tour of the world-class Tata Medical Centre, highlighting their state-of-the-art cancer care infrastructure. Dr. Vyjayanthi also had enriching conversations with Dr. Joydip Bhaumik, Head of Gynec Oncology, and Dr. Soumitra, Head of Oncology Counselling Services, gaining insights into the hospital’s comprehensive, patient-centered approach.

The panel included valuable contributions from Dr. Abhisek (Surgical Oncologist – Breast Cancer), Dr. Susmita, and fertility experts Dr. Saurav Maity and Dr. Presenjit Roy. The discussions reinforced the critical need for collaborative care models to support fertility preservation in oncology settings.

Dr. Vyjayanthi, who developed a strong interest in fertility preservation during her subspecialty training at Barts and the London in the UK, continues to be deeply committed to advancing this field. She also delivered a talk on “Progesterone for Support: Too Much or Too Low?” during the main ISAR 2025 conference. Her participation was warmly acknowledged by Dr. Sudip Basu, Chair of the conclave.
