Ever since the introductory session on July 20th, the one-year fellowship programme in Infertility is going on as planned. I have successfully completed two sessions till date. The theory sessions are delivered through live streaming every Thursdays from 5.30 pm to 7.30pm.
In the first session (27th July), my lecture covered the topics of Evaluation of an Infertile couple and Semen Analysis and Interpretation.
The second session (3rd Aug) , which happened yesterday has guest lecture by Dr. K. Jayakrishnan who spoke about “Evaluation of Male Partner and when to refer for ART’ . This was followed by second session on “Newer Techniques in Semen Analysis” and covered CASA vs Manual , CASA Pros / Cons , Artificial Intelligence based automatic semen analysis and Sperm DNA Fragmentation methods. My lead embryologist , Mr. Durai supported me in the delivery of the sessions.
It was heartening to see all the fellows being involved and interactive. It motivates me to make the future sessions more interesting and engaging.
