The Advances 2025 conference, held from April 4-6, 2025, at Hyatt Regency, Trivandrum, was a gathering of experts in women’s health, organized by the Trivandrum OBGYN Club under the aegis of KJK Hospital. The event, centered around the theme “Pioneering Progress in Women’s Health – Uniting Expertise,” provided a platform for the exchange of groundbreaking ideas and insights in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine.

In my session, I had the opportunity to address critical topics in reproductive healthcare. The first, titled “Fertility Preservation – What Every Gynecologist Should Know?” focused on fertility preservation techniques, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding fertility in patients undergoing treatments like chemotherapy. The session aimed to provide gynecologists with the essential tools to integrate these techniques into clinical practice to optimize patient outcomes.

Additionally, I presented on “Controlled Ovarian Stimulation – How to Get It Right? Difficult Case Scenarios.” This session delved into the complexities of controlled ovarian stimulation (COS), offering practical guidance on how to manage difficult cases where standard protocols may not yield the desired results. The discussion focused on individualizing COS protocols and optimizing oocyte yield while considering patient-specific challenges. By exploring challenging case scenarios, the session provided valuable insights into improving treatment outcomes in difficult clinical settings.

The conference was further enriched by inspiring keynote addresses from distinguished international experts, including Dr. Amarnath Bhide (UK), Professor of Fetal Medicine & Obstetrics at St. George’s University, Dr. S. Selvaraja (Malaysia), an expert in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine, and Dr. Pratap Kumar from Manipal. Their thought-provoking presentations covered the latest developments in fetal medicine, reproductive health, and innovative medical practices, providing participants with a global perspective on advances in the field.

The Advances 2025 conference was an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with leading professionals in the field. Through engaging discussions and expert-led sessions, the event underscored the need for continuous learning, the importance of evidence-based approaches, and the role of multidisciplinary collaboration in shaping the future of women’s health.
