Laparoscopy

These minimally invasive surgeries are offered to improve fertility in subfertile couples. Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique where a small cut is made in the umbilicus, the abdomen is distended with gas and then laparoscope-camera is inserted to evaluate the reproductive organs such as the uterus, tubes and ovaries.

When is Laparoscopy Recommended?

This procedure is recommended to women facing the following issues:

Women with blocked tubes

Women with Endometriosis

To treat pelvic pathologies such as ovarian cysts, remove scarring around the tubes and ovaries

To remove the fibroid in certain cases

Hysteroscopy

This is a minimally invasive technique which is used in the evaluation and treatment of subfertile couples. This technique involves the insertion of a hysteroscope-long instrument with a lens at one end with a camera attached at the other end through the neck of the womb to view the uterine cavity.

When is Hysteroscopy Recommended?

Pathology such as polyps, adhesions, intrauterine septum and fibroid can be removed using Hysteroscopy to improve fertility in certain subfertile couples.
